Our Turkey Tail mushrooms are wild harvested in the United States and ready to use upon arrival.
To take full advantage of this mushroom's beneficial compounds, it must be hot-water extracted. Popular methods of hot water extraction include making a tea by grinding the mushroom up and adding to a tea bag and steeping in boiling hot water. Another popular method is to place the ground up mushroom in a large 4" x 6" tea bag and allowing the bag to simmer for a few hours in a stew or soup.
The extracted mushroom is not meant to be consumed - the fruiting body should be removed prior to consuming the extract.
