To take full advantage of this mushroom's beneficial compounds, it must be hot-water extracted, then consumed. Popular methods include grinding the mushrooom and adding the powder to tea bags and steeping in boiling hot water or adding to a boiling soup or stew. Once extracted, the fruiting body can be consumed like any other gourmet mushroom.
